Login Details

  • CE Login to HMC is: "CE" and "serv1cece"
  • Customer Login to HMC is: "customer" and "cust0mer"
  • Normal Login to S-HMC is: "hscroot" and "abc123"

In previous versions of DS8000 code the accounts would be frozen after a certain number of failed logins, and it was impossible to change this behaviour. Therefore we'd normally create a backdoor user called backdoor / backd00r and set failed logins to 9 and password expiry to 9999. IBM have since included the option to prevent account disables through login failures, and so this is no longer necessary.

  • DS Storage Manager Login is: "admin" and "passw0rd"
  • DS Storage Manager published default login is: "admin" and "admin"
  • URL is https://IP_Address:8452/DS8000/Login

Note that the DS Storage Manager GUI is no longer available remotely via browser unless using Tivoli Storage Productivity Center (TPC) or System Storage Productivity Center (SSPC) is used for "Element Management". The web interface is still available locally via the S-HMC console.
